What are you searching for?
"I think I'm searching for a lot of things. I'm searching for people to do life with, I'm searching for people to love and feel loved back by, and I'm searching for what I think the deepest meaning of life is and how to share that with other people, which I think is love and sharing love with others."

If you could only have one picture to look at for the rest of your life, what would it be of?
"That's a great question. It's the type of question I would spend too much time on because I try to think of the best thing to cover all my needs, but I always find that to be impossible so lately I've been answering these questions on the spot. First thing that comes to mind is... there's these drawings of stones. I was reading a devotional talking about how powerful and all knowing God is and how he doesn't need us and he could just remake us from stones and I was like... dang. That's very humbling. It also puts it into perspective how powerful he is, so I would say stones. But a well done drawing, you know? Yeah."

What quote defines your existence?
"The quote that defines my existence is, 'I'm a human being. Nothing that is human can be alien to me.' That is by Terence, a Greek philosopher. Maya Angelou took it a little bit deeper and what it basically means is that I have every component that a human has, even the worst like Hitler. All the evil that he had is in me. I can be a bad person. I also have all the components of an amazing person, like Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Mother Theresa. It all depends on how much I want to put into myself and devote to myself and how great I want to be. I also can't judge someone because they're bad and I can't be jealous of someone because of how excellent they are because I have all those components in myself, as well."

What's the key to your success?
"...I don't know what the key to my success is. I just think that to get far in life you have to be nice to everyone. You shouldn't impact people's lives negatively. People like to do things for nice people."

Why are you weird?
"I'm weird because I often like cheese more than I like people, which is unfortunate. That's the weirdest answer I can come up with. If I'm being honest, I'm weird because I like things that a lot of people don't like and I act differently that a lot of people. I think that sets me apart and makes me weird, but I like it."

What three people, dead or alive, would you want to have dinner with?
"Iris Apfel because she is my aesthetic queen. I love that she just pulls inspiration from whatever she loves and has built her fashion empire around that. We'll stick to creatives because I could go towards social justice activists, but since we're doing a creative endeavor with photography, we'll stick to creatives. Probably Coco Chanel. Yeah, that'd be really cool. And Liz Keckley. She was a slave who went into creative dress making and dressed Mary Todd Lincoln. I think her story is really powerful, how she used her craft to literally get out of slavery. Then she went on to be a good friend to others and empowered other females through really hard times. She's really rad."

If there were a book about your life, what would the title be?
"I have no idea. Maybe that should be the book title: I Have No Idea. How about Being a Roe-bot? It came up at lunch with my dad the other day because we always make fun of our name, like when we joke about owning the Roe-se Bowl. I was brought up being goofy and corny. There's a county, well there's two counties in California named Kern County and Inyo County and they meet as you're driving up to the High Sierras. There's turn off for Inyokern and I was driving there one time with my sister and I said, 'In yo' Kern.' I can't do it right because I'm not from the city, but you know what I'm talking about. Somehow at lunch, we were talking about Facebook bots or whatever and I said, 'Maybe we're the Roe-bots.'"

What are the little things that make you happy?
"I mean, there are so many but here's a few little things: Seeing people's heart, which is obviously super broad. Like seeing someone who's passionate about something is a huge thing that makes me happy, but it's also a little thing that makes me so excited; seeing the sparkle in someone's eye when they're excited about what they want to pursue or excited about what they're doing in life or something that makes them so happy. That just make me happy. Also, seeing God's creation in every way: through people or through nature or through what people make. All that kind of stuff. I would say those are the little things that make me happy."

How would you describe yourself?
"Loud, obnoxious, pretentious, boujee... I consider myself talented, creative, a problem solver, hard working, dedicated, a pothead... I'm a pothead for sure. A rapper, entrepreneur, CEO, educated... I don't know, the list goes on and on. I'm an amazing person. I find joy in entertaining people and bringing people together for a common goal. I have huge aspirations and some weird visions. Overall, I think I'm a good guy. I have a good heart. I might be an asshole sometimes, but I'm trying to do good, positive things in the world."

What are you grateful for?
"I'm grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me, especially in the last two years since graduating from undergrad. The way that things have just presented themselves to me is what I'm really really grateful for and I'm lucky that things have worked out favorably. Even in harder times, I try to remember to be grateful for those things. It pulls me through everything. And all the people I've met these last two years that have been part of that. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunities that have come my way."

What's important?
"There are several things that are important to me, I guess. Family is a big one. I actually can't wait to have a family where we celebrate things because I don't have that right now. The other thing is education and trying to get what you want in life through hard work. I feel like that's a big deal. In general, just trying to have the most fun that you can in life. That's really it."

What is true love?
"I guess true love is, depending on the context it could be... I don't know. Like, I would do anything for my dog. If it were for another human, like a family member or a significant other, it would be accepting them through their flaws and seeing them completely as a whole. Loving them even when you don't want to and accepting the fact that no one is the perfect human, but you chose to do life with these people or one person and I think that's true love. In a nut shell, it's accepting somebody completely for who they are and not judging their beliefs, their individual characteristics, or their flaws. Yeah, that's true love. From a Christian stand point, I think true love should reflect the love that God gave us event though we're imperfect humans. the love that He pours out on us on a daily basis is what we should reflect on others... What I'm trying to say is, the way God loves us, that's the way we should love other people. That's true, authentic love."

If you could have any question answered, what would it be?
"Well, I feel like we'll get a lot of questions answered when we get to heaven, so it's hard to focus on just one. I guess there's a lot of 'whys,' but you kind of just have to trust God. So there's a lot of questions I have, but I think it'll all be really clear, so I don't know."

How do you want to change the world?
"I would like to change the world one day at a time. People my age think, 'What are you going to do with the rest of your life,' but I think the way you can change the world is to show people the love of Jesus in everyday circumstances. You don't have to be a superhero to do it and what I've come to see is that if you're about converting people to Jesus and believing that He died for your sins, you're not going to see that in going up to one person in one day, but you can plant the seed or help grow the seed that's already planted. Maybe it'll grow into a plant a couple years down the road, but you won't see that so I think it's definitely one day at a time. You can change the world by just loving on people and putting others needs before yours."
