"I always want to be better than what I am. I need pushing for a lot of things. I think I'm kind, I try to be. I'm still trying to figure out who I am and what I'm doing. I'm just trying to be a better me right now, whatever that means."
What are you grateful for?
"I'm very grateful for the people that surround me and for the people that have stuck with me and helped me overcome my fears and my anxiety. I'm so grateful for the people in my youth group. I still talk to a lot of them. I'm grateful for my dad and what he's taught me and for providing for our family. I'm grateful for my mom who took care of him all of those years. I've been so blessed with everyone that has been in my life. I have amazing friends who support me and are great at giving advice."
What are the little things that make you happy?
"Well specifically, working here. One of the little things that makes me happy is when kids find gold and they get super exited. 'Is this gold? Is this real? How much is it worth?' That's really exciting. The other thing that gets me excited is when we get schools from the inner city areas and when we're on a tour and they kids see a lizard or a butterfly and they get super excited because they've never seen that before. That's just really exciting to see."
"I think in life the most important thing is definitely knowing Christ, without a doubt."
What do you need to let go of?
"I need to let go of my need to get approval and affirmation from other people. I seek that a lot and I need to let go of it."
If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
"...but they can't understand me. I would tell a young child to smile all the time."
Why can't you live without them?
"My friends? Well, they support me in everything I do. They challenge me to become a better person. Having people around you that can hold you accountable is huge. If you don't have anyone like that around you, you can get into real big trouble."
If you could have any question answered, what would it be?
"It's definitely be a question about God. Does he exist? Who is he? That kind of thing."
What do you live by?
"I live by the mentality of doing everything to the best of your ability and to never stop having fun."
Do you want to change the world?
"Possibly. I'd change it little by little through the people I encounter."
What makes you smile?
"Questions like that, a beautiful sky, a good student. My one and a half year old grandson makes me smile. He's pretty cute. Although, he has a huge head! It's like Charlie Brown's. Sometimes we call him Big Head for short. There's a few things."
If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
"In my life? Oh gosh, I don't know! I don't think I'd change anything. Maybe taking more chances, being more risky, and not playing everything so safe."
